My Apologies

Hey Everybody!

Sorry it's been so long since our last show but here at TU we have a once a year extravaganza known as airband that completely consumes the lives of every student for that one fateful night. It just so happened that it fell on the same night as Sportsnight. I promise it won't happen again. Anyways, once you watch this video I think you'll understand.

With that said I have some more bad news for you...no show this week either. I know I know; how are you going to survive? Well for starters I tried to ease your pain at least a little bit by posting our BRAND SPANKIN NEW THEME SONG! It's Awesome! Also I'm posting a few stories to watch for next week. So here you go...

1.) The battle of the Div 1AA Losers: Michigan vs Minnesota. This year's tussle for the little brown jug has been overshadowed by Minnesota's loss last week to Div 1AA North Dakota State. I mean come on...does anyone even live in north dakota anymore? I think it would be best for everyone if this game just ended in a tie. However, if Mike Hart can stay healthy I think this Michigan team should be able to dominate like they were forecasted to at the beginning of the year.

2.) Skittles is in Minnesota this week on vacation so I'm going to have to do my week 8 NFL picks without him. So here we go...

DETROIT because the Bears can't play defense anymore, PITTSBURGH because I'll never pick against Roethlisberger in a big rivalry game, TENNESSEE because their inability to get the ball into the endzone immortalized their kicker into a sports bar trivia hall of famer, CLEVELAND because St. Louis will never win a game again, NY GIANTS because Miami is still reeling from giving up 42 points in the first half to and unstoppable force, MINNESOTA as long as they never pass the ball, INDY, BUFFALO, HOUSTON only if Schaub doesn't replace my new hero Sage Rosenfels, JACKSONVILLE because every week they impress me more, SAN FRANCISCO, NEW ENGLAND because this world has never seen anything like them, and GREEN BAY because I enjoy rubbing in the fact that the pack's only loss this season is to the Bears to Skittles.

3.) Speaking of which, now that Skittles is gone, I can actually talk baseball intellegently without any obnoxious hints to move on to football because nobody cares about baseball. Well I am going to step out and say that this year's playoffs have been nothing short of incredible. From the Red Sox incredible comeback from 3-1 to beat the Indians on the shoulders of JD Drew's grand slam, to the Rockies unbelievable win streak to even get into the playoffs and then sweeping their first two opponants only to lose 13-1 in the first game last night, even casual fans can't help but be captivated by all the storylines this year. The story to watch for the rest of the series is obviously whether the Red Sox are just playing that good or if their opponants both just suddenly hit the wall. The Red Sox went from looking like one of the most beatable teams in the playoffs to being the first team to score over 10 runs in three straight postseason games. Will it last? I have no idea. In the meantime check out the greatest promotional idea ever.

Alright that about wraps it up for this week. Sorry it was in text form instead of audio but after this week we should be back on our regular schedule. See you next thursday at 9!
